Tour Reviews
November 3rd, 2013 @The Rock Café St.Pauli (Hamburg, Germany)
Skinny Molly hit the stage of The Rock Café St.Pauli and it is no surprise that they succeeded and tore the place down. It was a rainy and cold Sunday night in the middle of Europe´s biggest redlight district, but the moment Jay, Luke, Kurt and Mike started their set, a true southern atmosphere came up. As they made their way into "Copperhead Road" they already won. The solid guitar work and tight bond of the rhythm section is truly great and drummer Kurt Pietro, playing with a tremendous timing, offers some amazing fills. The voice of Mike Estes is as fresh as it used to be and as certain things get better at age, you can say that he is probably better than ever. The setlist contained material from their latest album "Haywire Riot" and material from their critically highly acclaimed album "No Good Deed", which was released in 2012. The atmosphere of the songs was easily put on stage by these four rockers and the addition of such gems as "Sweet Home Alabama" or The Rolling Stones classic "Dead Flowers" served the crowd damn well. It is always a pleasure to see a band on stage, that shows off real joy and pleasure, as they play. Skinny Molly has that certain something and I am sure that these lads will definitely make their way up, as there are hardly any bands around, who work harder, play more gigs and sound better!

Show June 7, 2013
WOW! I not only got to see Skinny Molly play live, but our band, The LC Band, got to open for them at the Coalfield Jamboree in Logan, WV on June 7, 2013. When I first learned we would be opening for these legendary musicians, I went into shock!!! But the real shock was when after our set, we were front row in front of a group of great guys and terrific musicians!! Skinny Molly just overwhelmed the 1200+ audience with song after song after song, and believe me when I say there's none better at their craft than those guys. The absolute sonic joy I experienced listening to them cannot even be described with words. All I can say is from the time we met Mike and Luke during lunch that afternoon, till way after the show was over, everything about Skinny Molly impressed me. The way Mike interacted with the audience, not in the haughty rock star way, but as a genuine Southern man only reinforced my opinion that these guys are the real deal, not just another bunch of former rock stars squeezing out the last bit of fame. And the music!!! Some word master needs to find the lost superlative to describe these guys' musicianship as all the ones used to this point in history do not even come close to capturing the essence of just how good they are! In this day of techno, how frickin' great is it to see players just plug in and blow the house down without all the fake electronic masking crap. Look! If you have never seen these guys, GO! If you've never heard these guys, GO! If you want to experience Southern Rock as it was meant to be, GO! GO! GO! Buy Haywire Riot and slam that baby in the CD player of your truck, turn it up to 11, and hang on, it's going to be a great ride!!!! Thanks Mike, Luke, Jay and Kurt for one of the best shows I've seen and thanks for letting The LC Band share it!!!

Show April 13,2013 @Rick's in Fairfield, OH
I just came from the Skinny Molly concert in Fairfield, Ohio. It was great. I am almost 61 years old. I have been going to concerts since I was 16 years old almost 45 years.. I have seen every body from the Amboy Dukes, with Ted Nugent to Frank Zappa. I have been to ZZ Top, Led Zepplin and the Who. I have seen Black Foot, Molly Hatchet, and the original Lynnard Skynard ( forgive the spelling, lol ) with Ronnie Vanzant. I even took Maureen Vanzant with me. I have fond memory`s of some concerts, Journey, Santana,Wishbone Ash ( which was excellent ) but I have never been to a concert that touched me like Saturdays Skinny Molly concert. They played the Skynard songs better than what I heard Skynard do them. They played the Black Foot songs better than I remember Black Foot doing them. And their original songs were great. They also did Copperhead Road better than any version I ever heard. They even let Pat Moore of The Carp Brothers and Fresh Carp play a song with them, it was a Rolling Stones song, Dead Flowers. Pat played a good slide guitar on it. I have never enjoyed a concert as much as that one. Mike Estes seems to be a real good guy and was very friendly, I am proud to have him as Facebook friend, him and his bass player Luke Bradshaw also. If you get a chance to see Skinny Molly do not pass it up. You will be glad you did, and their CD is excellent, I love the art work on their T-Shirts and will put on a picture soon. Good night and God bless you all, pray that Skinny Molly will have safe trips as they travel from town to town, and when they fly to Europe. Many a musician has lost their life traveling to entertain us, let us pray that they have safe travels.

Show April 12,2013 @McGuffy's in Dayton, OH
I have listened to Skinny Molly many times but never had the experience to see them live. I was thrilled to see them scheduled for McGuffy's in Dayton. I dont believe my words can do justice to what I was about to witness. Much to my surprise the crowd wasnt as large as we had hoped for but this core fan base saw a show that exceeded all shows..Hearing songs of Blackfoot, Skynyrd and Skinny Molly rolled the evening into perfection by a talented foursome. The place rocked and rocked.
In my opinion I just witnessed one of best shows I have ever see live. It was hand slapping and foot stompin night to be recorded in my mind forever.
Honestly was surprised not to have that one guy who at any show you ever been to yelling out "Freebird" but the guys blew that song out of the waters..I have to say if you miss seeing Skinny Molly live, you will really be missing a special treat so you owe it to yourself to round up your friends and have a night out with Skinny Molly. You might even make some new friends at a show as I did..SKINNY MOLLY..you are the real deal and thank you so much for a night as we had in Dayton. You held nothing back and I greatly appreciate what I got to witness. Look forward to seeing you down the road someplace soon.
